It's too hot

It's too hot to go outside, unless it's a pack thing like walking to the road to get the mail. I'll always go to get the mail. I always have to pee alot around the entrance to our lane because of that little fluff-ball of a dog that lives across the road - got to leave a message, like dog email. I haven't heard her barking lately. I think she stays indoors because of the heat.
On the way back I pooped in the front field.

Groundhog or woodchuck?

I'm told you can call them either but whatever you call them one of them came right up onto our back porch yesterday. Holly saw him first, he ran when he saw her through the glass; she and our male human saw his big fat groundhog butt as he was going down the stairs. She says he would have come right in the house if the door had been open. I'll bet he wanted to get on my nice comfy bed. I like to roll around on my back on the bed saying "grr raa rraa raar" . Anyway, we chased him away from the house. I barked a lot and Holly ran around like a maniac. Holly thought for a while that he had gone under the porch but we couldn't see him. I think he ran all the way home to tell his friends all about his brush with death at the paws of two of the most ferocious and dangerous dogs in the county.

I had a bath!

I had a bath today. It was unexpected but I didn't really mind. Once again, it was right after I had gotten myself smelling just the way I like it - stinky! I had just rolled in some stuff that smelled really great. It smelled like skunk and dead deer and pond mud - some of my favorites, but my male human made me take a bath right away. So I'm disappointed. I wish I could take a bath that made me smell stinky.
